Five guided hard enduro days in the Krousia mountains: not many kilometres, but rock steps, steep climbs, riverbeds and singletrack that will test you. All inclusive: hotel, food, fuel, garage, shuttle. You bring yourself and your bike. Eight riders, two guides, the very first week.

The Krousia mountains above Isoma – and somewhere down there a handful of riders.Everyone knows Romania, everyone knows Spain, Croatia is full. The Krousia mountains are a blank spot on the enduro map – no operator, no video, no reviews. Riders who join in April ride trails nobody but us and a few locals have ever seen.
Not “challenging for hobby riders”. A forest like Swiss cheese, 30 km of riverbed in one go, a singletrack where a slip is no joke. Conditions you otherwise only get at races – here without a race number, but with a guide.
No resort, no bus. Dinner is cooked at the basecamp, the village taverna knows your name by the second night. Hospitality in a Macedonian village is not a slogan – mass tourism never got here to ruin it.
Old gold mines, an abandoned military post at 1,150 m, land where front lines ran a hundred years ago and where Alexander set out 2,300 years ago. That is not marketing, that is just the place.
Mid-April: 15 to 20 degrees, dry rock, green forest. Most of Europe hasn’t opened the season yet – here it is in full swing. And the drive down through the Balkans is the road trip thrown in.
From Basecamp Isoma we head in a different direction every day. No chasing kilometres: 40–70 km a day, but every metre counts – rock, steep sections, riverbeds, forest. Each stage carries a nickname from Greek mythology; you’ll know them by the end of the week. Groups are split by riding level.
Hotel check-in, bikes into the garage, trailers onto our yard, evening briefing and welcome dinner at the taverna.

Anifores in the morning, Petres in the afternoon – two loops with everything the week will throw at you: rock, steep climb, riverbed, forest. Settle in, check levels, form the groups.

A forest like Swiss cheese, riddled with steep climbs. Extreme conditions, not a metre for free.

Narrow singletrack, up and down on the tightest passages – one slip and you’re at the bottom. Past old shafts where they once dug for gold. Good thing there’s a rest day after.
Wrenching, a trip to the city, or a half riding day. Reserve day in case of rain.

Around 30 km of hard enduro in one go, along and through the riverbed: scree, water, polished rock, no way out in between.

Out to the place we only call the chill spot. The trail there brings it all one more time – properly wet after heavy rain. Then river, swim, sun, and to finish, a barbecue together right by the water.

The opening week is demanding. We ride at hard enduro level, with bypasses for advanced riders at the toughest spots – but no beginners.
Not the right week for you yet – a dedicated format is coming later.
You ride off-road regularly, steep sections and rock are familiar, and you can drag your bike out of a riverbed on your own. At the hardest spots there is a line around for you.
Extreme or race experience; rock steps, root climbs and steep descents don’t scare you. You get the hard line every day – the guides know it.
Road-registered enduro bike with plates, valid third-party insurance with a Green Card covering the countries on your route, category A licence, full protective gear. Missing any of these means you don’t ride – no exceptions.
Isoma is 30 km past the Evzoni border, one hour from Thessaloniki airport. Two driving days from Germany, three from the UK or the Netherlands – or ferry to Igoumenitsa plus half a day.
| From Germany / Austria | approx. 2,200 km via Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia. Overnight in Belgrade or Niš. |
| From the UK / Netherlands | approx. 2,800–3,000 km, three days, or Channel crossing plus ferry Ancona–Igoumenitsa. |
| Ferry option | Ancona – Igoumenitsa (approx. 20 h), then 400 km of motorway. |
| On the way | Vignettes AT/SI, tolls HR/RS/MK. Green Card must cover Serbia and North Macedonia. |
| Bikes on the trailer | Need nothing extra on the way. Two bikes per trailer halve the cost – we connect riders for shared trips. |
| On site | Bikes stay in our locked garage all week, trailers and vehicles on our yard in Isoma. Our shuttle runs between hotel and basecamp morning and evening – no driving needed. |
I’m Lukas, the other guide is Thanasis – Saki – my best friend. We both come from Isoma and have been riding the mountains around it for years. We found the trails ourselves, built them, and rode them a thousand times.
Isoma is a village like many in northern Greece: the young leave, the houses stand empty, and one day it’s gone. We don’t want that to happen – and there’s only one way we know that really suits us: our passion. Everyone who rides here eats at the taverna, sleeps in the region, gives the village a reason to keep going.
The opening week is our first group from outside. That’s why the price, that’s why only eight spots: we want it to run perfectly and we want you to come back.
We call you back within 24 hours, talk through riding level and travel, then send the offer with the deposit link.
No obligation. By sending you agree that we contact you by phone. Booking is confirmed only after the call and the deposit.
